In an exclusive interview with BeInCrypto, digital strategist Jacky Rivero shared valuable insights into effective cryptocurrency marketing.

Jacky Rivero emphasized the importance of storytelling in the crowded cryptocurrency market.

“Every day, more brands, both inside and outside of their niche, are turning to storytelling. Because storytelling is important to get closer to your audience,” she explains.

Unlike traditional presentations that focus solely on problem solving, effective storytelling emphasizes the brand’s understanding of the user’s problem. This approach builds trust by making your audience feel understood and valued.

Rivero pointed out that since the cryptocurrency space is saturated with content, it is essential for brands to stand out.

“People were overwhelmed! The challenge is to stand out amidst all the noise. That’s why it’s important to tell stories that show not only how to solve problems, but also how to understand them,” she emphasized.

By building empathy and demonstrating a deep understanding of the audience’s pain points, brands can foster connection and loyalty.

2. Transparency and verification

Transparency is another cornerstone of Rivero’s marketing philosophy. She emphasized that cryptocurrency projects should operate with a “don’t trust, verify” mentality and provide users with tools to verify the security and operational status of the project.

“Features such as a landing page to check protocols or exchange status, proof of holdings, and regular communication about audits are very important,” she said.

Users of the cryptocurrency market are well aware of market volatility and regulatory changes. Rivero advised that there is no need to hide this reality.

Instead, brands should maintain open communication channels to reassure users. This transparency builds trust and ensures user loyalty.

Community participation is critical to the long-term success of cryptocurrency marketing. Rivero emphasized the importance of creating interactive spaces and activities for users.

“The community aspect is very important. Creating engaging spaces and activities for users to interact with their peers is just as important as education,” she explained.

For example, a gamified training experience can keep users engaged while they learn about a project. Rivero also highlighted the effectiveness of memes in cryptocurrency marketing.

“Have you ever heard the saying, ‘Memes are the DNA of the soul’? The importance of empathy cannot be overemphasized. Memes are the best way to connect, educate and entertain,” she said.

Memes can spread easily if done right and can serve as key performance indicators.

Cryptocurrency Marketing Challenges and Partnerships

Rivero pointed out the unique challenges of advertising in the cryptocurrency industry, with strict legal requirements limiting many companies’ ability to place ads. For those who can, the task becomes one of creativity and brevity.

“The challenge is fun: figuring out how to say more with less,” she said.

Influencer partnerships are another important element of a successful cryptocurrency marketing strategy. Rivero advises choosing a creator for your project who has honestly tried and reviewed the product.

“It’s important to know who your target users are. Are you a holder? Beginner? Liquidity provider? Approach influencer partnerships knowing that your offering will reach the right crowd,” she told BeInCrypto.

Lastly, Rivero emphasized the importance of balancing short-term engagement metrics with long-term growth strategies. Prioritizing organic content, especially memes, along with SEO can help you gain immediate attention and build ongoing visibility.

“Plan your marketing for immediate impact and long-term visibility on social media through search engine optimization,” she concludes.

Rivero’s insights provide a comprehensive guide for cryptocurrency projects aiming to succeed in a highly competitive market. By balancing immediate and long-term strategies with a focus on storytelling, transparency, and community engagement, brands can effectively navigate the complexities of cryptocurrency marketing.
