- DFINITY Foundation and SingularityNET are focusing on decentralized AI infrastructure.
- This project integrates the Internet Computer Blockchain with the SingularityNET Marketplace.
- SingularityNET CEO Dr. Ben Goertzel said the goal of this collaboration is to develop an infrastructure for decentralized AI and AGI that benefits all of humanity.
DFINITY Foundation (DFINITY) and decentralized AI marketplace SingularityNET (AGIX) announced a strategic partnership aimed at advancing the decentralized artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure ecosystem.
DFINITY and SingularityNET will collaborate to build an infrastructure to provide decentralized AI services to dApps built on the Internet Computer (ICP) blockchain, according to details announced in a press release Monday.
The push for decentralized AI infrastructure
The two companies are collaborating as the push for decentralized approaches to AI and artificial general intelligence (AGI) grows.
An ecosystem with the right infrastructure will help bring the benefits of these technological leaps to humanity.
“SingularityNET and DFINITY have created important tools and platforms that enable superior decentralization of AI and AGI, respectively. Using these two toolsets together will be an important step in creating a decentralized AI network for the benefit of all humanity.“AS Dr. Ben Goertzel, CEO of SingularityNET, said in a statement.
The two organizations plan to synergize their grant programs to target Deep Funding DFINITY’s developer grant program. In this case, the organization hopes to galvanize the developer community to provide researchers and scientists with the resources they need to advance the decentralized AI ecosystem.

Dominic Williams, founder and chief scientist of the DFINITY Foundation, said ICP will play an important role in this exploration.
“Internet Computers has been at the forefront of hosting artificial intelligence on blockchains. Since the launch of the $5 million DeAI grant last July, ICP has seen an increase in projects leveraging AI. This initiative through SingularityNET will further realize our vision for DeAI, and we are excited to collaborate with Dr. Ben Goertzel and his team to improve the DeAI framework.,” he added.
Further collaboration on this effort will see DFINITY Foundation and SingularityNET host joint events at ICP.Hubs around the world. These events will continue next year through hackathons, seminars, etc.
Today’s announcement from DFINITY Foundation and SingularityNET comes as the AI space grapples with the dramatic events of OpenAI. The AI company fired co-founder and CEO Sam Altman last Friday, and despite reported efforts to reinstate him, Altman ended up joining Microsoft.
He is set to lead the tech giant’s new AI team.
