Elwood said it has received certification related to its execution management system for security tokens and derivatives. The platform allows customers to connect to cryptocurrency exchanges and OTC trading venues.
In May 2022, Goldman Sachs and Dawn Capital co-led a $70 million Series A round for Elwood. teaBarclays, BlockFi Ventures, Chimera Ventures, CommerzVentures, Digital Current Group, Flow Traders, and Galaxy Digital Ventures participated in the Series A round.
alan Howard, the former CEO of hedge fund Brevan Howard, is Ellwood’s majority shareholder. Since late 2020, Howard has invested heavily in the cryptocurrency sector, supporting and launching dozens of startups. Earlier this year, he launched BH Digital, the cryptocurrency arm of the hedge fund he founded.
