The Algorand Foundation CEO’s X social media account was hacked, marking the third major attack on a cryptocurrency-related X account this month.
new lineThe company that runs smart contract platform Algorand (ALGO) announced that the X account of company CEO Staci Warden had been hacked and warned people not to interact with it.
“(Staci Warden’s) account has been compromised. Do not click on any links on her account or respond to her direct messages (DMs). “Recovery work is underway.”
Some of the hacker’s messages included a repost link to a recording titled “Puppets Ruined Bitcoin” and links containing false content. opinion Warden was fired from Algorand and also lost its subsidiary.
The hacking of Warden’s account marks the third time in January that malicious actors have targeted the social media accounts of cryptocurrency executives or regulators.
