Medalla testnet launches tomorrow 🏅
The minimum validator deposit required to launch the Medalla testnet (more than 16,000) was met on Friday. This means that the birth of this testnet was set up as follows: 1596546008 unix timeor 8 Seconds after 1:00 PM (UTC) on August 4. The release of Medalla is a huge milestone in eth2 development. If Medalla proves to be stable, a mainnet launch will be next. It represents years of hard work by numerous engineers, researchers, and community members. We hope you’re as excited as we are :).
Please note that the majority of validators on the Medalla testnet operate on: you, community. We hope to treat this as a dress rehearsal for the mainnet launch. Get your nodes running well in advance, keep an eye on the performance of your validators, and see if there are any important updates to your client software. In other words, treat testnet validators as if they were securing real ETH.

In addition to the amazing work done by the eth2 client team, I would like to highlight the following: S-Staker — A fast-growing user-driven resource for the emerging validator community. This community-run effort aims to provide a home for the hobby staking community in the form of: subreddit and discord server.
I spent a bit of time on Discord last week, and it’s a great place to share information, ask (and answer!) technical questions, and generally collaborate around new and exciting eth2 staking technology. If you are involved in Medalla or are interested in joining, be sure to check it out.
i expect S-Stakeris a must for validators who want to keep everything related to their validator up to date with client-specific inconsistencies.
