Lshvrw is a fraudulent cryptocurrency investment DApp used by scammers to trick prospective investors out of their cash.
Victims are approached online, often using ‘accidental’ messages and befriending them on various platforms including WhatsApp and Facebook.
Soon, the scammer will turn the conversation to cryptocurrency investments and encourage victims to transfer large sums of money to a legitimate cryptocurrency wallet.
The victim will then be prompted to link their wallet to the Lshvrw DApp and grant full access.
This allows scammers to remove all funds from your wallet as soon as they are deposited.
Spotting scam DApps like Lshvrw can be very difficult, but you should always research a financial product thoroughly before parting with your cash.
You can find out how legitimate a DApp is by checking its development team, company registration, freshness of domain registration, domain authority (DA), etc.
Additionally, you should always be suspicious of any new ‘friends’ you meet online who encourage you to join their investment scheme, whether cryptocurrency-related or not.
I lost my cash due to Lshvrw scam. Can I recover it?
DApps and fake cryptocurrency platforms and exchanges often last only a few months before being shut down by scammers.
Scammers use fake information and are very careful to cover their tracks. Therefore, it is very difficult to recover lost cryptocurrency.
There are also private companies that can help, as I wrote here.
If you suspect a site is fake, contact us.
