Theta Labs launches EdgeCloud, a platform providing open source AI models that aims to revolutionize the AI industry by providing developers with access to cutting-edge technologies.
Theta Labs is excited to announce the launch of Theta EdgeCloud, a groundbreaking platform supporting a wide range of open source AI models. The team is currently in the final stages of development and working to finalize a set of AI models that can be used at launch.
With Theta EdgeCloud, AI developers have the option to select and deploy popular generative AI and large-scale language models. Notable models that will be supported include Meta Llama 2, Google Gemma, and Stable Diffusion. These models have become very popular in the industry, with millions of downloads.
One of the key benefits of Theta EdgeCloud is that it provides instant access to critical GPU resources. The platform provides dashboards and metrics along with GPU resources such as NVIDIA A100, V100, T4, and other GPUs. This allows developers to optimize AI models for a variety of business use cases.
The list of AI models supported in Theta EdgeCloud is subject to change, but currently includes:
- LLM: Mistral-8x7B, Mistral-7B, Google Gemma-7B, Meta Llama-2-7B
- Image generation: Stable Diffusion XL (SDXL) Turbo, ControlNet
- Text-to-Video: Reliable Video Spreading
- Speech Recognition: OpenAI Whisper
- Code Generation: CodeLlama
French AI startup Mistral AI has developed the Mistral-8x7B model to compete with the latest GPT-4. He speaks several languages fluently, including English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
Google Gemma-7B, released by Google DeepMind in February 2024, is a lightweight open language model suite optimized for Nvidia GPUs and Google Cloud TPUs. This model is designed for efficient deployment on consumer-scale GPUs as well as cloud-based GPUs.
Developed in collaboration with Microsoft, Meta Llama-2 is an open source large-scale language model that is free for both research and commercial use. Improve the accuracy and safety of chat content through human feedback and reinforcement learning. Theta EdgeCloud will be released with Llama-2 support.
Stable Diffusion, developed by Stability AI, is a groundbreaking text-image generation AI technology. It has gained immense popularity since its launch in 2022 and will be supported by Theta EdgeCloud. The platform also supports Stable Video Diffusion, which enables text-to-video generation.
Additionally, Theta EdgeCloud will provide support for ControlNet, a groundbreaking genAI model for text-to-image conversion. This model allows users to take additional input images and have more control over image generation.
OpenAI’s Whisper, a state-of-the-art speech recognition model, is also supported on Theta EdgeCloud. It boasts ‘semi-supervised learning’ and is trained on massive amounts of multi-language and multi-task data, making it more powerful and accurate than other models.
Finally, Theta EdgeCloud will be launching with support for Meta’s CodeLlama, a large-scale language model designed specifically for coding. It has the potential to not only improve developer workflow and efficiency, but also lower the barrier to entry for beginners learning to code.
Theta EdgeCloud aims to revolutionize the AI industry by providing developers with easy access to powerful AI models and GPU resources. Our upcoming launch promises to empower AI developers and create innovative solutions using cutting-edge technologies.
