Old Crypto Wallet + Bitcoin Core

I desperately tried every guide I could find on the internet, but nothing helped. What I have:

  • wallet.dat in Bitcoin Core, encrypted since 2015 (4 locations)
  • Password used for encryption (I remember having to click on the lock inside the application and enter the password)
  • Same computer as I had with Windows OS
  • Inside the file, the hex editor displays different data (not FFFF).
  • When trying to restore via pywallet using a password – error: root: cannot open wallet.dat/main. Quit Bitcoin and try running it again.
  • When trying to download using the loadwallet CLI command in Bitcoin Core – the data is not in a recognized format. (Code -18)
  • I downloaded an older version of Bitcoin Core (12). – wallet.dat is corrupted and recovery failed.
  • The last transaction was in 2018

I need some advice. What are the other options? How do I decrypt and access these files?

Thank you, Best regards, Rome
