Are you still positive about Bitcoin Rune? This new phenomenon burst onto the cryptocurrency scene a little over a week ago during the BTC halving event. And we’re already seeing Runes Airdrops popping up left and right. Did you notice it too?
If not, don’t worry. We got it.
Today we are here to discuss the Bitcoin Loon airdrops we captured and how you can receive them in the future. To us follow X If you don’t want to miss the opportunity to acquire runes in the future.
What are runes?
Led by Casey Rodarmor, the man behind the Ordinals protocol, Bitcoin Runes is working to revolutionize token creation on the Bitcoin blockchain, making it easier for enthusiasts of all backgrounds. Runes leverages Bitcoin’s UTXO model and OP_RETURN opcode to simplify token management and eliminate the need for complex protocols and excessive UTXO management. This innovation not only simplifies the process, but also improves Bitcoin’s efficiency in handling fungible tokens, paving the way for a variety of applications, from meme coins to community-driven projects, ultimately leveraging Bitcoin’s full potential.

#1st week rune airdrop
If you’re active in the Ordinal and Rune section of the market, you’ve probably already received a few Rune airdrops. What’s even better is that some previous Ordinal airdrops gave runes to people who didn’t sell Ordinal. Talk about double dipping.
Here is a brief analysis of the Rune airdrops so far:
1) RSIC
Holders of certain Ordinal collections received an Ordinal airdrop of RSIC METAPROTOCOL in early 2024. As soon as the ordinal was received, an announcement about future Runes airdrops was tweeted out by the project.
All you had to do was “activate” the RSIC ordinal and store it in your wallet to mine “points”. The longer you do this, the bigger your RSIC rune airdrop will be.
Several owners I know personally received 5 figures worth of RSIC Genesis runes.
2
Like RSIC, this meme coin was airdropped into a general collection called “Runestones”. This ordinal has also been airdropped to prominent ordinal collection holders, and they are eligible to receive the $DOG airdrop as long as they maintain this airdrop.
We won’t lie. Being the first dog meme coin for the father of all chains, Bitcoin, is rather eye-catching.
Every Runestone holder received nearly 900,000 $DOG runes, which is worth close to $4,000 USD at the time of this writing.
RuneStone Ordinal holders will receive two more Meme Coin airdrops in the coming weeks. More content will likely be added to this collection or other general collections.
3) Pepe Bitcoin Matrix
Various people active in the Runes and Ordinal ecosystems received the Pepe Bitcoin Matrix airdrop. It is unclear what the exact criteria for this airdrop are. Some holders in the Inscriped Pepe ecosystem and NodeMonke holders were surprised to find this Runes Airdrop in their wallets.
4) Luminex
The platform for creating and exploring runes is teasing early adopters with potential airdrops. You may be asking yourself, “How?”
Well, Luminex “tracks” your activities and rewards you with “souls”. This leads us to believe that this could lead to an airdrop. These days, it’s a popular meta to reward users with airdrop points for their loyalty when they release a token.

final thoughts
It’s there. All Bitcoin Rune airdrops that occurred in the first week of existence. It seems like it pays to be an ordinal holder these days. You can get more rune airdrops if you own or are active in a famous ordinal ecosystem. We assume that if you are active in the rune ecosystem or have a few runes, you will be eligible for retroactive airdrops. However, this has not been confirmed yet. So if we are wrong, don’t come to us.
