Stiftung Ethereum, Ethereum Foundation, Zug, Switzerland —ethereum.orgWe are seeking to immediately fill the position of Executive Director within the Foundation.
This role includes defining and carrying out the day-to-day operations of the Foundation and leading the organization at the executive level. The successful candidate will have significant experience in corporate financial activities and/or operations. A technical (software, hardware, math, science) background would be advantageous, but not required.
The ability to operate effectively both in Switzerland and globally is essential and the successful candidate will be required to live in Switzerland full-time or spend most of their time there.
- It would be better if you have experience building or running a foundation.
- Knowledge of the cryptocurrency space is highly desirable but not essential.
- The desire to work creatively and energetically to define emerging decentralized online economic and social systems is a critical requirement.
- The Director will interact with and support multiple Ethereum departments involved in software development, communications, and community outreach activities.
- The Director will oversee the operations of the subsidiary divisions, further specifying which activities appropriately belong at the foundation level and which belong at the operating company level.
- The director will be supported by staff already in place and will likely hire additional consulting experts who have guided Ethereum through local and global business environments.
- The Director will work closely with Ethereum’s local and global legal counsel, accounting and human resources firms.
- Coordination of activities with regional and global organizations such as CoinCenter, World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), Cryptocurrency Research Group (CCRG), self-regulatory bodies and existing regulators is expected to be part of the portfolio.
