Despite having hundreds of thousands of social media followers, pseudonym cryptocurrency trader Daan Crypto Trades isn’t keen on doxxing himself for glory. He focuses solely on posting articles analyzing cryptocurrency charts.
“I’m not really interested in people knowing exactly who I am,” Daan Crypto Trades told Hall of Flame. The secretive cryptocurrency influencer reveals that he lives somewhere in the Netherlands.
What is your real name or age? It will remain a mystery. “I’m not sure if it’s wise for me to say this.” He laughed during an hour-long online call with his camera off.
After some prodding, Daan revealed that he falls into the “20-30” age range.
But he keeps his hobbies, interests, everything a secret. With 371,900 followers, it must be hard not to show off your fame on a dating app.
But those closest to him know all about the man named Daan Crypto Trades. “It’s a good thing because it’s not really a secret that I can’t tell my real friends and family,” he revealed.
Daan is a soft-spoken guy and considering his rigorous workout routine, he’s probably a gym fanatic. He splits his time from the gym to trading cryptocurrencies and managing the endless messages he receives every day.
“Usually I wake up and read my Discord and Telegram chats, because the messages pile up overnight. Then I have breakfast and usually go to the gym,” he says of his morning routine.
When he returns to his computer, he usually discovers that he has received spam emails from cryptocurrency exchanges.
“Every day it’s the same exchange: ‘We want to work with you.’ We got good affiliate bonuses.’ And I turned down the same deal a hundred times,” he laughs.
Daan works with exchanges, but he is picky about it. He only deals in products that he uses and he has absolutely no interest in promoting products that he does not deal with.
One of the things you often see him sliding into his posts on X is his partner link with ByBit.
What makes Daan Crypto Trades famous?
Daan believes wearing the professor hat has increased his follower count by X during the strong 2021. “It was these educational threads that pushed my account further than ever. A lot has been done leading up to 2021,” he explains.
A thread is a series of explanatory posts on various topics that his followers were curious about.

Instead of typing out an answer to each question, he throws up a long thread where you can send your answers, almost like having a library of pre-made content.
“For example, when I post something about market structure, I always get several comments saying, ‘Okay, what is market structure?’” he laughs.
It seems to have been effective as the number of followers tripled in two months.
“I think I gained about 30,000 followers for two months in a row while I had 20,000 or 30,000.”
The same questions come up over and over again, which is why we keep using our libraries and content.
“I still do it sometimes, but not as much. Because I get asked the same questions every time about relatively basic topics,” he explains.
“It gives me a huge library of topics that I can refer to whenever people ask questions,” he adds.
What type of content does Daan Crypto Trades like?
Daan does not like to go all-in on cryptocurrency projects or be too optimistic. He likes to be fair and balanced with technical analysis.
“Overall, I try to remain as neutral as possible in my approach,” he says, explaining that his content is primarily general market analysis.
“I would say that in general, the direction we are going is just a Bitcoin or Ethereum chart,” he says.
If you are looking for someone to guide you on how to make a lot of cash trading cryptocurrency futures, Daan is not your guy.
“If you want me to tell you to go long or go short, you don’t have to follow me, because I don’t think that’s what I like to do,” Daan adds.

“I don’t like to be too polarized, so I always try to remain neutral, even if I have a bit of bias. “It shines a little bit, but it’s nothing to the extreme,” he claims.
“In certain deals, when you’re right they’ll love you, and when you’re wrong they’ll hate you,” he laughs.
What kind of content does Daan Crypto Trades like?
Daan said he is “primarily interested” in high-profile cryptocurrency traders sharing insights into how they think about and execute their trades.
“I think this is very valuable, because obviously these people are in the top 0.1% and they’re not doing this for the money, because they’re obviously doing well, and you can easily see that on the ByBit leaderboard.” he says.
Two of his favorite companies, DeFi Squared and High Stakes Capital, are anonymous in the cryptocurrency world. The latter topped the profit and loss leaderboard of the now-defunct cryptocurrency exchange FTX in 2020.
Daan cryptocurrency trading prediction?
Daan says he is most bullish on the native token of the Bitcoin Layer 2 network stack (STX) this cycle.
Stacks, which Daan holds in his portfolio, is currently trading at $2.02, and Daan believes “$3.5 to $5” is not a possible amount.
However, according to Daan, when the price of Bitcoin doubles, altcoins usually also double, potentially quadrupling. If so, Stax could reach $8.
“I’m not good at making long-term price predictions like this,” he laughed.
He’s not good at throwing out long-term predictions. He is more interested in analyzing current chart trends and using them to predict overall adoption.
“I’m more interested in whether the narrative and the project itself will be adopted or do well during the cycle,” he says.
In the second half of 2025, Daan expects Bitcoin to reach $120,000 and Ether to reach $10,000. He also believes that may be when the price cycle peaks.
