Bitmain launches Antminer L9, an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) miner tailored for coins that utilize the Scrypt algorithm, such as Litecoin and Dogecoin. This new prototype delivers 16 gigahashes per second (GH/s) in terms of hashing power, managing energy efficiency to 210 joules for every gigahash (J/G).
The just-released Antminer L9 will replace the previous L7 prototype, which was capable of reaching speeds of 9GH/s. These enhancements help boost output to 16 GH/s, producing an energy efficiency of 210 J/T. Bitmain highlighted its initial offer if every individual has the appropriate L9 fee. Between June 4 and 6, 2024, individuals will receive a special discount of $2,000 on L9 purchases.
This device is made for mining Scrypt-based cryptocurrencies such as dogecoin, litecoin, digibyte, etc. Currently, according to the opinion of asicminervalue.com, L9 ranks 6th among the most promising miners accessible. You can earn just over $30 every day. This results in an operating cost of $0.12 per kilowatt-hour (KWh), with device consumption of 3.360 watts (W).
Bitmain’s plan to exchange the Antminer L7 for the more advanced L9 will see huge changes in the mining space for the Script algorithm coin with its enhanced 16GH/s properties. It shows a trend towards cheaper mining space with better energy efficiency. Currently, the price of Antminers remains a secret, but for L7, Bitmain has put a price tag of $6,335 per unit. But now it doesn’t exist.
