Transferring funds between blockchain networks is becoming increasingly important for cryptocurrency users. Immutable (IMX)
Requirements
Before starting the migration, please check the following:
- Immutable Passport (Sign up here)
- Funding on immutable X (IMX, GOG, USDC or ETH)
Option 1: Use Layerswap through the Passport dashboard
This method includes the following steps:
Step 1: Access your immutable passport
- Go to Immutable Passport
- Select the Bridge option in the top right corner.
- Select Layerswap as your preferred bridge.
Step 2: Configure transfer details
- Select Immutable X as the source chain.
- Select the funds you want to transfer (e.g. IMX, GOG, USDC, ETH)
Step 3: Enter amount and destination
- Enter your desired transfer amount and the destination wallet address (this can be a passport address or another wallet that supports Immutable zkEVM).
- Click “Exchange Now”
Step 4: Connect your wallet
- Follow the prompts to connect your Immutable X wallet.
Step 5: Confirm and Send
- Click “Send from Wallet” and confirm the transaction.
congratulation! Your funds have been successfully moved from Immutable X to Immutable zkEVM.
Option 2: Use Layerswap via Immutable Toolkit
An alternative method is to utilize the Immutable Toolkit.
Step 1: Access the Immutable Toolkit
- Visit the Immutable Toolkit
- Select the Bridge option in the top right corner.
- Select Layerswap as the bridge.
Step 2: Configure transfer details
- Select Immutable X as the source chain.
- Select the funds you want to transfer (e.g. IMX, GOG, USDC, ETH)
Step 3: Enter amount and destination
- Enter the desired transfer amount and destination wallet address.
- Click “Exchange Now”
Step 4: Connect your wallet
- Follow the prompts to connect your Immutable X wallet.
Step 5: Confirm and Send
- Click “Send from Wallet” and confirm the transaction.
Both methods provide a user-friendly approach to transferring funds between Immutable X and Immutable zkEVM, increasing the diversity and efficiency of users working within the Immutable ecosystem.
