Integration with Sui includes custody support for L1 and L2, built-in staking support, and DeFi connectivity.
Copper, a leader in digital asset custody, collateral management, and prime services, is pleased to announce its latest integration with Sui, a high-performance layer 1 blockchain and smart contract platform. The strategic partnership will provide robust custody infrastructure support for Sui’s stablecoin and real-world asset (RWA) issuers, such as Ondo (USDY), and will be a significant step forward in connecting institutional finance to on-chain opportunities on the Sui network.
Powered by Copper, the Sui ecosystem has now established the additional foundational infrastructure needed for institutional players to leverage Sui’s industry-leading decentralized technology platform to address the needs of financial institutions seeking efficient treasury services for their tokens.
“This strategic partnership, which integrates Copper’s enterprise-grade archiving tools, demonstrates the continued maturation of the Sui ecosystem into a platform capable of supporting the heightened infrastructure needs of Sui institution builders and users,” said Greg Siourounis, Executive Director of the Sui Foundation. .” “We are excited about the number and diversity of new projects and assets that will be brought to both the Copper and Sui ecosystems through this partnership.”
The first phase of support, which includes SUI and native Sui tokens, is now complete, making Copper the custodian of these assets. The immediate availability of Copper infrastructure on Sui means it is ready to meet the needs of today’s large institutional traders and market makers. Additional features in staking and DeFi are in development and will be integrated soon, significantly expanding the functionality of Copper products on Sui.
“We are excited to have Copper as a custodian and to be part of the SUI ecosystem,” said Dmitry Tokarev, Copper CEO. “With staking and DeFi features currently in development, we look forward to growing this partnership.”
