A new traffic monetization tool, Adsgram, has been launched in the Telegram messenger, allowing developers to place ads within their mini-applications and earn TON coins.
The TON community has officially introduced Adsgram, a new third-party platform on Telegram that allows developers to connect their mini-apps (or bots) to our advertising system and display ads to earn Toincoin TON.
This platform is different from the Telegram Advertising Platform, the official Telegram advertising platform for channel owners that was launched last March.
On June 25, TON Community announced that Adsgram offers a variety of ad formats, including 15-second video ads, static banners, and channel subscription features.
Adsgram’s advertising system supports basic advertising payment models such as cost-per-thousand-impressions (CPM) and cost-per-thousand impressions, and tracks click-through rates, conversion rates, and fill rates.
TON mini-app developers can earn up to $16 CPM in Toncoin.
According to a presentation shared on Adsgram’s official channel, the platform’s network has achieved up to 8 million impressions per day as of May 2024.
At launch, the network featured mini apps such as Gamee and Fonton Fantasy Football, with most of the traffic coming from countries such as Nigeria, Bangladesh and Germany.
Adsgram’s advertisers include “multiple Tier-1 exchanges,” TON-based games and services, and non-TON gambling, the presentation said. Through Adsgram, developers are offered CPMs ranging from 0.5 TON ($3.8) to 2 TON ($16), depending on the audience.
Adsgram improves monetization in Telegram’s GameFi segment
According to Adsgram co-founder Vadim Sterlin, the new advertising platform aims to solve the monetization problem in the game finance (GameFi) sector of the Telegram and TON ecosystems.
“As the founder of Fantongamebot, a major game in the Telegram ecosystem, I faced great challenges in monetizing the game.” Sterlin posted to his Adsgram channel in February. Until then, he noted, publishers had no way to make money from advertising other than through direct ad sales.
Adsgram officially launched a few months after receiving a $50,000 grant from the TON Foundation to create a minimum viable product.

In early April, Adsgram launched its first ad through alpha testing for Fanton Fantasy Football (Fantongamebot), a game founded by Sterlin.
Adsgram’s launch comes amid a significant surge in activity in the TON ecosystem, with the total value of various TON projects increasing by at least 4,500% as of 2024.
TON’s native cryptocurrency, Toncoin, has also been hitting new highs over the past few months, hitting a high of $8.17 on June 14, according to CoinGecko data.
