Electrum – How do I know if an address belongs to my cold storage wallet?

When I created my Electrum cold storage wallet, I started with 20 receiving addresses. I quickly ran out of those addresses and only wanted to use each address once.

So I created 110 more addresses using the console in my airgap cold storage wallet. However, when I tried to add those additional 110 addresses to my Electrum Watching wallet, I saw that there were 30 addresses added to my Watching wallet unexpectedly (since the last time I logged in). So now there are 50 in total (30 + original 20), not counting the 110 I created in my cold storage wallet.

I compared the additional 30 addresses to the 110 and none of them matched. So now I am confused and a bit cautious because those additional 30 addresses happened to show up in my surveillance wallet when I was trying to import or add the 110 addresses that were generated from my cold storage wallet.

I’m cautiously optimistic, but I hope there’s a perfectly logical answer that explains why 30 new addresses were unexpectedly added to my surveillance wallet.
