The Shiba Inu ecosystem has made significant progress with the launch of the closed beta of Shiba Eternity, the first game built on the Shibarium blockchain. Today, Shiba Inu Marketing Director Lucy made a comprehensive announcement at X, detailing the game’s launch timeline and features, marking a significant moment for the popular meme coin as it transitions to a more utility-based ecosystem.
Shiba Inu Presents Its First Shibarium-Based Game
Lucy’s announcement details a complete overhaul of the game from previous iterations. “Leash Stakers, take note! Shiba Eternity’s closed beta has begun. This is not an old game with a few updates, this is a full transition to Web3 with significant upgrades,” Lucy reveals.
The game now runs on the Shibarium mainnet, which supports non-fungible tokens (NFTs). This integration enables a decentralized gaming experience where players’ inventory cards are represented as NFTs, ensuring verifiable ownership and tradability within the ecosystem.
The game’s core architecture is now based on the Shibarium blockchain. This transition allows for a seamless and secure gaming experience by leveraging blockchain technology for asset management and in-game transactions.
Additionally, Shiva Eternity will also feature a competitive ranked mode where players will compete in a 15-day tournament.
Rankings in these tournaments are determined by player performance, and rewards are distributed based on final rankings. Exclusive tournaments are available for the top 25 players in ranked mode, and seasonal events offer unique rewards.
In particular, the game has undergone significant improvements across the board, including an updated tutorial, a refined menu interface, streamlined arsenal management, and smoother overall performance. A new rewards system offers improved quests, faster game progression, and a special welcome gift for players transitioning from the Web2 version of the game.
Release Schedule
Early access to Shiba Eternity’s closed beta is now open only to those who staked LEASH tokens on August 21st. These participants can join the game by connecting their smart wallets via ShibaSwap. This early access phase is crucial to gather user feedback and ensure stability before a wider launch.
Then on September 5th, access will be expanded to include certain NFT holders within the Shiba Inu ecosystem, namely The Shiboshis and The Shiba Eternity Lore collections. An open beta launch has not yet been announced. “No LEASH or NFTs? Don’t worry! The open beta is live, giving everyone a chance to get into Dogjo,” Lucy said.
Lucy also issued a security warning, emphasizing the importance of being vigilant against scams: “Beware of scams! Connect your wallet only through official platforms. Never click on links from unknown sources like X or anywhere else. Always enter the official website address directly and double-check before connecting your wallet.”
At the time of writing, SHIB’s trading price was $0.00001362.
