Sun Pump, a new Mimecoin distribution platform on the Tron network, has overturned the daily activity and earnings of its Solana-based predecessor, Pump.fun.
Adam, a blockchain researcher, noted in an August 21 post that Sun Pump ended the day with higher revenue and new tokens generated than comparable metrics from Pump.fun.

Adam cited Dune Analytics data showing that 7,351 tokens were issued on Sun Pump, and the platform generated $585,000 in revenue in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Pump.fun created only 6,701 new tokens, generating $366,000 in revenue during the same period.
The recent surge of new activity comes just 12 days after the Sun Pump platform launched on August 9. The protocol has already generated over $1.5 million in revenue, and over 25,000 new Mimecoins have been minted since launch.

Several Mimecoins launched by Sun Pump have seen their value soar, with one trader briefly converting $1,000 worth of a token called SunWukong (SUNWUKONG) into $750,000. Other Mimecoins, such as SunDog (SUNDOG), have seen their value soar to $270 million.
The popularity of the Mimecoin distributor has been a huge boost for the Tron network, with Tron generating a record $3.48 million in revenue over the past 24 hours, according to Defilama data. This is the same as the $3.48 million in revenue recorded the previous day.

Liquidity has been flowing into the Tron ecosystem with the new memecoin distribution, largely thanks to the $10 million in support from Tron founder Justin Sun’s Meme Ecosystem Boost Incentive Program.
Stablecoin issuer Tether also issued an additional 1 billion Tether (USDT) tokens on the Tron blockchain on August 20.
While many critics have accused Mimecoin of being “disruptive” to the cryptocurrency industry, Sun has taken a hard-line stance against speculative assets, saying Mimecoin’s success is “no coincidence.”
“When every developer can build a community through fair releases, gain support from everyone, and foster passion and loyalty, the community can share in the success of the cryptocurrency,” Sun wrote in an August 20 X post.
