BNB Chain announced that it will participate as a Gold Sponsor in ETHTokyo, which will be held in Shibuya from August 23 to August 25, 2024. ETHTokyo is a large-scale hackathon hosted by the Ethereum Japan community that brings together developers and blockchain enthusiasts from around the world.
Sponsorships and Challenges on the BNB Chain
As a Gold Sponsor, BNB Chain will present two build themes, each offering a $2,500 prize pool for the most innovative solution. The onboarding build session, which is free for all participants, will be hosted by the BNB Chain technical team and will be held on Thursdays.
Track 1: Greenfield’s Decentralized Version of Notion
Prize: $2,500
The first task aims to create a decentralized file management system in Greenfield that gives users full control and ownership of their data. The system should support secure file sharing and collaboration using cryptographic address-based or NFT holder-based access.
This distributed file management system should utilize Greenfield for distributed storage to ensure data security, immutability, and censorship resistance. Additionally, the system should integrate SpaceID for user-friendly file sharing with readable names.
Track 2: Loyalty Programs for the Catering Industry
Prize: $2,500
The second challenge focuses on developing a decentralized loyalty and rewards program for the catering industry. The program should eliminate intermediaries and promote direct engagement between restaurants and customers. It should also include a universal rewards token that can be used across multiple platforms and restaurants.
The decentralized platform should be built on the BNB chain, using smart contracts to automate reward distribution. A decentralized ID system should manage user profiles, and loyalty tokens should be ERC-20 compliant for easy integration. Participants are encouraged to create a customizable dashboard to allow restaurants to seamlessly manage rewards and customer interactions.
