The BNB Chain’s Most Valuable Builder (MVB) program has officially launched its 8th season, with the goal of further accelerating innovation within the Web3 ecosystem. According to the BNB Chain Blog, the program is designed to support early-stage developers and projects with resources, mentorship, and growth opportunities.
Program Details and Application
Applications for MVB Season 8 are now open, with the deadline for submissions being September 18, 2024 at 11:59 PM UTC. This season marks a significant milestone as the program will be quarterly, providing developers with more frequent opportunities. Additionally, a two-day offline event in Dubai will be part of the accelerator, allowing participants to network with peers, mentors, and industry experts.
The MVB program is a collaborative effort between BNB Chain, Binance Labs, and CMC Labs to provide early-stage Web3 builders with the resources they need to succeed in the BNB Chain ecosystem. Interested projects can apply through the application form provided.
Influence and Growth
Since its launch in 2021, the MVB program has seen significant growth, receiving over 4,900 applications and accelerating over 93 projects. Graduates of the program have made significant progress, ranking high in a variety of fields such as DeFi, NFTs, gaming, and infrastructure. Several projects from previous seasons have even been listed on top centralized exchanges.
The program provides participants with a tailored curriculum aimed at long-term growth, including coaching and workshops on legal considerations, security, cross-chain infrastructure, go-to-market strategies, token economics, and fundraising. Additional benefits include fireplace conversations, one-on-one mentoring, potential investment opportunities from Binance Labs, and exposure through the CoinMarketCap channel.
Season 7 Highlights
Season 7 of the MVB program received over 700 applications, with less than 2% being accepted. 13 outstanding teams were selected for their exceptional talent and innovation in the Web3 space. These teams benefited from a comprehensive curriculum, personalized mentoring from experts from BNB Chain, CMC Labs, and Binance Labs, and valuable insights gained through fireside chats with successful founders.
Participants also had access to the BNB Chain Launch-as-a-Service (LaaS) package, which provides support for infrastructure, security, treasury management, business growth, and marketing, with a value of up to $300,000. Binance Labs emphasized its commitment to nurturing high-potential projects by announcing that it will invest in the four best performing projects from Season 7. The selected projects are:
- aggregate: A platform that integrates AI data, models, and computing.
- Opinion Labs: We build markets based on dynamic opinions and continuous forecasting.
- friend: An integrated hub with a variety of features including social, gaming, and more.
- boy: A cross-chain persistent DEX aggregator that supports both EVM and non-EVM chains.
