According to Telegram, Telegram has launched a series of new features to improve user experience and facilitate business operations. Among the latest updates are the introduction of a gift sending feature and an enterprise authentication platform.
gift special feature
Telegram users can now send gifts to their friends, and recipients can display them on their profile pages or turn them into stars. These stars are used for a variety of purposes, including supporting content creators and purchasing services within mini-apps. Users can send a gift by accessing a contact’s profile and selecting the ‘Send Gift’ option, which includes a customized message and emoji.
Verification platform for businesses
The newly launched authentication platform allows businesses to efficiently verify their customers’ phone numbers. Sending verification codes via Telegram saves businesses money as the service costs just $0.01 per user. This service is positioned as a faster and safer alternative to traditional SMS verification methods. Interested developers can also test Telegram’s Gateway API for free.
Improved reporting and video chat
Telegram has improved its reporting interface to give users more specific options to report content violations. The goal of this update is to enhance the platform’s scaling capabilities and improve its AI systems. Video chat on iOS has also been rebuilt to improve performance and battery efficiency, keeping your device cooler during long calls.
Real-time streaming via RTMP
For Android users, Telegram now supports live streaming over RTMP, allowing users to connect video feeds to popular streaming applications such as OBS Studio and XSplit Broadcaster. Previously available on iOS and desktop, this feature expands Telegram’s live streaming capabilities across all platforms.
These updates reflect Telegram’s ongoing commitment to providing innovative solutions for both personal and business use cases.
