The Sui Foundation has announced important updates to its Request for Proposals (RfP) program designed to improve opportunities for blockchain developers within the ecosystem. According to Sui Blog, the revamped program aims to better serve the diverse needs of the Sui community through distinct long-term and short-term project categories.
Program improvements
The updated RfP initiative introduces two key components: Rolling RfP Cohorts and Flash RfP. Rolling cohorts are designed for long-term projects that require significant time and resources and provide developers with the opportunity to tackle larger-scale challenges. Meanwhile, Flash RfP focuses on short-term projects, providing fast, impactful solutions to urgent ecosystem needs.
This strategic approach is expected to foster focused development and foster collaboration by funding projects that closely align with Sui’s ecosystem requirements. By clearly defining the focus areas of each RfP, the program encourages developers to propose and build solutions that address the specific challenges at which they are funded.
Structured project financing path
The RfP 2.0 program introduces structured pathways to ensure transparency and smooth processing of proposals. Interested developers must submit an application through the Sui Grants Hub, adhere to the defined application period and address the outlined RfP objectives.
Submitted proposals go through a review period to evaluate their alignment with RfP requirements and feasibility. A dedicated committee shortlists and votes on proposals to receive funding. Selected teams undergo background checks to remain accountable before signing a grant agreement detailing project milestones and schedule. Once an agreement is reached, development can begin.
A call to action for developers
With RfP Cohort 2 now live, the Sui Foundation invites experienced developers, community members, and innovative thinkers to contribute to the growth of the ecosystem. The scheme offers a wide range of opportunities for both experienced builders and newcomers to leave their mark on Sui’s future. Those interested are encouraged to explore possibilities through the Sui Grants Hub.
This program revamp marks a significant step forward in fostering innovation within the Sui ecosystem, with the goal of accelerating growth and development through targeted financing and strategic project coordination.
