BNB Chain’s MVB Season 8 in Dubai concluded with a demo day for Web3 innovators to gain global exposure, bringing together expert guidance and networking opportunities.
BNB Chain recently hosted the 8th season of its Most Valuable Builder (MVB) accelerator program, bringing together 35 early-stage Web3 projects. Organized in partnership with Binance Labs and CMC Labs, this initiative aims to provide entrepreneurs with the tools and mentorship they need to succeed in the blockchain space.
The program kicked off with a two-day in-person event in Dubai to coincide with Binance Blockchain Week. This gathering provided a unique opportunity for participants to connect with mentors, guest speakers, and peers. The season concludes with Demo Day on November 7, where contestants will showcase their projects to a global audience and compete for funding.
Event Highlights
The Dubai event featured an impressive lineup of speakers who shared valuable insights into various aspects of Web3 development. Key sessions include:
Build your team and culture: Binance co-founder He Yi emphasized the importance of leadership and collaboration in creating a strong team that fosters innovation.
MVB Team Working Hours: Founders received tailored feedback on their presentations from Binance Labs and product positioning guidance from BNB Chain experts.
Find product-market fit: Joey Ni and Oliver Shen, co-founders of the previous MVB cohort, shared their experience of achieving product-market fit, moderated by Marwan Kawadri of BNB Chain.
Web3 market entry strategy: Kevin Kwong, co-founder of 9GAG and Memeland, discussed user growth strategies in the Web3 space with BNB Chain’s Diana Dai.
CoinMarketCap leverages: Jin Choo, Head of Growth at CoinMarketCap, explained how the platform can be used in go-to-market strategies to increase project visibility.
Role of trading company: Yoann Turpin, co-founder of Wintermute, examined the impact trading firms have on liquidity and market stability in the blockchain ecosystem.
Networking and Mentor Sessions
The event also promoted networking opportunities with venture capitalists, key opinion leaders and media representatives. This session is designed to foster future partnerships and media exposure for participating projects. The founders received detailed feedback on refining their claims and aligning their product with the BNB Chain ecosystem.
