Yellow Panther: A Gamer Wearing Many Hats
Web3 gaming star Yellow Panther wants to set the record straight. Full-time gaming is more than just a game. You’re basically running a multi-operation business without a suit and tie.
Speaking to Web3 Gamer at the Yield Guild Games Play Summit in the Philippines, Yellow Panther, also known as “YP,” has become one of the most popular Web3 gamers at just 26 years old, “advising several large gaming companies and working on their projects.”
“I realized I had a lot of knowledge, but I didn’t have market intelligence to begin with. I was able to use this to make a lot of connections and help get this game to market or even give advice on how to play. It was a successful launch,” explains the Forbes Web3 Game Creator of the Year.
“I never thought I would be an advisor,” he laughs, building a loyal fan base during his time at Axie Infinity esports and becoming a regular on the top 100 leaderboards.
Gamers from Web2 to Web3 say that creating gaming content for their social media followers is already a full-time job in itself. And of course, he still needs to play regularly to maintain good grades. He initially earned money through gaming tournaments.
“So this is a very interesting journey from playing the game to actually doing business and creating content,” he says.
“We can’t really disclose numbers and things like that, but it’s a very niche market and not everyone can disclose it.”
Meanwhile, Yellow Panther said that many games are messing up their token launches.
“They get really annoyed by token releases because a lot of games are rushed to release and the (price) charts usually go up immediately upon launch,” he explains.
“There is not enough liquidity, there is not enough hype, the game is not working properly,” he explains.
He understands why players who farm for “months” of play-to-earn airdrops get annoyed when the airdrop finally happens and it’s only worth “$10 or $20.”
“I know you prefer regular Web2 work,” he says.
Web3 Gaming and Cryptocurrency Bullishness: Parallel Co-Founder
Sascha Darius Mojtahedi, co-founder of science fiction-based competitive card game Parallel, said the cryptocurrency bull market triggered by Donald Trump’s US election victory will give Web3 games a major boost.
“I think the downstream effect of positive rhetoric around cryptocurrencies will have a significant impact on the adoption of these games in general in the next two to three years,” he told Web3 Gamer at the Yield Guild Games Play Summit. .

However, Mojtahedi explains that this only applies to games that have survived the last few years, not game projects that were found to be “illegitimate” or were never “delivered.”
“I think it’s more about ignorance than malice.” He says this about drinking only half a glass:
“A lot of people don’t have the ability to deliver, but they want to deliver, so let’s assume that’s true.”
Mojtahedi says the games currently on the market have “huge opportunities ahead.” Especially since they no longer have to worry about U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Gary Gensler declaring their business model a security.
“I think if that kind of work goes away and we leave room for people to innovate again, it opens up all kinds of opportunities for people to be creative and create really meaningful new experiences and new types of economies to own. I think it is given.”
Parallel’s next title is Parallel Colony, an AI-powered Web3 survival simulation game releasing in Q1 2025. “You are not the player, the AI agent is the player,” he explains.
Mojtahedi is interested in experimenting with AI and cryptocurrency games.
“When you have nothing to compare to, you have the opportunity to really scale. Because no one has ever tried it before,” he says.
“There is interest and excitement around,” he added.
Receive ‘Quest Rewards’ through YGG experiments
Game development platform Immutable and blockchain gaming guild protocol Yield Guild Games have raised a $1 million fund to help players earn rewards through quest incentives.
“From a play-to-revenue standpoint, gamers can get items that they have to pay for to get,” Justin Hulog, Immutable’s chief studio officer, told Web3 Gamer.
“If you watch Twitch, it’s not that different from Twitch with Twitch drops,” Hulog added.
Basically, any gamer who plays an Immutable game that interacts with other Web3 games in the YGG ecosystem can earn rewards like skins, characters, and guardians.
For example, if you want to join the Guild of Guardians and play the tactical strategy game Shardbound, you’ll be rewarded just for exploring that game because it’s part of the YGG ecosystem.
