What is attack tone?
Attackathon is a time-limited audit challenge aimed at strengthening the security of the Ethereum protocol. This begins with a training phase where participants receive guidance on the protocol code through live skill exercises and training content from the Attackathon Academy. At this stage, participants are well prepared to identify and understand potential vulnerabilities.
During the Attackathon, security researchers will actively search for vulnerabilities in the protocol code. They follow specific rules set for the competition and only those reports that are influential and comply with the rules are rewarded. This phase focuses on problem solving and applying the knowledge gained in the initial phase in real time.
After the Attackathon, Immunefi will evaluate the results and compile them into an official report. The report details the vulnerabilities discovered and highlights top researchers, celebrating their contributions and expertise.
