The integration with Layerzero and CRO (CONOS) EVM and ZKEVM enables a crosschain bridge with over 115 blockchain networks, enhancing the interoperability and fluidity of CronOS users.

Layerzero, a prominent cross -blockchain interoperability protocol, announced an important milestone for crosschain connection by presenting integration with CRO (CONOS) EVM and Cronos Zkevm. The movement, published by Cronos Labs and Layerzero, is expected to improve the development of cross -blockchain applications and legs to connect CronOS users to extensive fluidity of more than 115 blockchain networks, including Ethereum and Solana.

Integrated details

Integration allows developers to generate and expand their legs and tokens in numerous blockchain networks, including Mainnet and Testnet networks. This development is expected to attract hundreds of applications using Layerzero to provide services to CronOS users and provide access to billions of dollars of Crypto assets that are safely hosted in cronos.

Effects on Cronos EVM and ZKEVM

For CONOS EVM, a major EVM compatible layer 1 network based on COSMOS SDK, this integration facilitates smooth assets between the Cosmos SDK ecosystem and other EVM compatible block chains. Cronos EVM utilizes the IBC (Inter Blockchain Communication) protocol for interoperability with the Cosmos Ecosystem.

Meanwhile, Cronos Zkevm, the first elastic chain (layer 2) launched in Mainnet after the ZKSYNC era, will benefit from more than 10 other elastic chains. This provides a faster cross -blockchain transmission on a wide range of hierarchies 1 and tier 2 networks.

Industry leader statement

KEN TIMSIT, managing director of Cronos Labs, has emphasized the importance of cross chain interoperability as a priority since the project began. In 2025, he expressed optimism about the role of integration in improving the connectivity between the encryption project and the traditional finance. Bryan Pellegrino, the CEO of Layerzero Labs, emphasized the goal of connecting various types of chains by emphasizing Cronos Zkevm as one of the first elastic chains for the expansion of layerzero. .

Future development

Layerzero is a developer tool, but this new cross -block chain function is not yet available for most end users. But additional announcements are expected. The new bridging options are added to the official cronos bridge portal, including the new CRO/ZKCRO and other token bridging options between CRONOS EVM and Cronos Zkevm.

Cronos Labs actively supports developers who are interested in using these new features. In addition to token bridging, we support the distributed applications using Layerzero technology to develop innovative use cases such as cross -chain prediction market, tokenization of real assets and cross chain loan protocols.
