Offchain Labs introduces Crosschain Broadcaster Standard, a smart contract system designed to improve safe crosschain communication in Etherrium ecosystem.
Offchars announced the introduction of Crosschain Broadcaster Standard, an important stage for improving cross -chain communication within the Ethereum ecosystem. According to offchars, as the roll -up ecosystem is expanded rapidly, the need for standardized and unreliable solutions is more compressed.
Challenge of cross chain messaging
The emergence of class 2 and three chains led to faster and more efficient transactions, but fragmentation was also introduced. This fragmentation depends on cross -chain communication that users and applications lack security and standardization. Current solutions often depend on third -party validation tester to add complexity to trust problems and processes.
Cross Chain Broadcaster Solution
Crosschain Broadcaster Standard offers unreaced flexible messaging standards. Ether Leeum-Remove the dependence on the off chain actor by utilizing the warm chain storage evidence for the root rollup. This standard provides an interface for messaging EVM compatible chains to ensure smooth integration and adaptability for rollup upgrades.
Operating mechanism
The standard works by checking the message through the whole chain data. For example, if an Arbitrum user submits a message, a series of pointers and storage proofs can be certified in other chains as default. The recipient contract of the local chain intercepts the pointer and checks the presence of the message in the storage of the remote chain broadcaster to check the message.
Core component
The crosschain broadcaster standard consists of several main components.
- Broadcasting contract: You can store a message in a specific chain and check it with another chain.
- Blockhashprover: Check the block hash of the remote chain to facilitate message authentication.
- Blockhashproverpointer: Even when the rollup is upgraded, it maintains the reference stability of the block hash.
- Receiver contract: Check that there is a message in the broadcast contract of the remote chain.
Implications for ecosystems
The Crosschain Broadcaster Standard matches the vision of Arbitrum for interoperability and emphasizes reliability, cost efficiency, speed and accessibility. In particular, we aim to more efficiently transmit cross chain swaps and transmissions between intervention and wider EVM chains.
Offchain Labs recommends that you can further develop this standard by inviting feedback and contributions through platforms such as ETH Magicians and Github. As the Etherum ecosystem continues to grow, cross -chain broadcasters can be a pivotal component in achieving smooth and safe crosschain communication.
