Who truly controls your AI assistant? It is a question that most people have not yet requested. Today, millions rely on digital assistants from the voice control device to the smart bots included in the tools such as Google Workspace or Chatgpt. This system helps us write, configuration, search and think. But most of them are rented. We do not own the intelligence we depend on. It means that someone else controls it.
Can I do anything about it if the digital assistant disappears tomorrow? What should I do if the company in that the company generates revenue in an unexpected way? These are not theoretical concerns. They are already happening and point out the future we must actively form.

As this agent is built into everything from our finances to workflow and home, the steak for ownership is much higher. It can be suitable for less steaks, such as a language model that will help you create an email. But ownership is not an option when AI acts for you, decides with money, or manages important parts of life. Essential.
Today’s AI business model suggests to the user
The AI we know is based on the rental economy. You pay a “illusion” of control in return, paying the cost of the API when subscribing or using monthly subscription or use. But behind the stage, the platform provider has all the power. They select the AI model to serve, what AI can do, how to respond, and whether to use it.
Let’s take a general example: a business team that automates tasks or generates insights using AI -based assistants. The assistant can live in the centralized SaaS tool. It runs on the GPU by driving as a hosted closed model from another person’s server. After uploading, you may be trained for data from the company, which is no longer owned by data.
Now imagine that the Google Search sets the priority for profit generation, as in the advertisement -centered results. The same is true for the Lange Lange Model (LLM), just as the search results are affected by paid placement and commercial benefits. The assistant relies on changes, and the response is helpful to the supplier’s business model, and nothing can be done. You didn’t have true control from the beginning.
This is not just a business risk. It is also personal. In Italy, CHATGPT was temporarily prohibited in 2023 due to personal information protection. It left thousands of people without stealing overnight. In a world where people build more personal workflows around AI, this weakness is unacceptable.
When borrowing AI on privacy issues, often upload sensitive data and sometimes unconsciously uploads. The data can be used for recording, retraining or profitable. The centralized AI is more and more responsible for the design, which is opaque for each design, increases the designated tension, and the regulation moves rapidly and moves rapidly according to the infrastructure of others.
It means to truly own an agent
Unlike the manual AI model, the Agent is a dynamic system that can take independent actions. Ownership means controlling the core logic of agents, decision -making parameters and data processing. Imagine autonomously managing autonomy, tracking costs, building budgets, and making financial decisions in place of you.
Naturally, we naturally provide programmable ways to explore high -end infrastructure such as Web3 and Neobanking Systems to manage digital assets. The owner of the owners can operate independently within a clear and customized boundary to convert the AI into an active personalized system that truly works in the reactive tool.
You can know exactly the model you are using through true ownership and change your default model if necessary. You can upgrade or customize your agent without waiting for the provider. It can be transmitted to pause, replication or other devices. And the most important thing is that you can use it without leaking data or not depending on a single centralized gatekeeper.
In OLAS, we have built it towards this future with Pearl, the AI Agent App Store. The AI Agent App Store is realized as a desktop app, allowing users to run autonomous AI agents with just one click while maintaining the entire ownership. Today Pearl focuses on using Web2 and contains many cases of use mainly for Web3 users to abstract the complexity of encryption interaction. Pearl’s Agent works with his wallet and works using an open source AI model and works independently on behalf of the user.
When you start Pearl, it’s like entering the App Store for Agents. You can choose one to manage the Defi portfolio. You can run something else that handles research or content creation. This agent does not require a persistent prompt. They are autonomous and yours. Gain income from the agent owned by paying the tenant.
We have already designed Pearl for password stimuli users who already understand the importance of owning the key. But the idea of taking its own tests as well as funds is far beyond defi. Imagine an agent that controls home automation, complements social interactions, or adjusts multiple tools at work. If you rent the agent, it will not be completely controlled. If you do not completely control them, you are getting out of the core part of your life.
This exercise is not just about tools. It is about the agency. If we do not move to open and user -owned AI, we have a risk of reinstalling the hands of some dominant players. But when we succeed, we do not rent intelligence and truly unlock your freedom. Each man is complemented by the “army” of the software agent.
It’s not just an idealism. Good security. Open source AI is audited and reviewed. The closed model is a black box. If the Humanoid robot lives at home someday, do you want to run the code and to monopolize and control foreign cloud providers? Or do you want to know exactly what it is doing?
We have room for choices: we can hold tools, data, decisions and gifts if we continue to rent, trust and nothing.
AI owned by user is not a better option. It is the only person who respects the intelligence of the person who uses it.
