NVIDIA’s AI innovation changes climate research and space exploration, and supports scientists in environmental data analysis, weather predictions and space threat monitoring.
According to a recent report from NVIDIA Writers, NVIDIA uses advanced AI technology to support environmental research and space exploration. These state -of -the -art development supports scientists and developers who understand the sea, wildlife, climate change and the existential threats of the universe.
Sailing the sea of AI
Amphitrite, a French company, uses NVIDIA’s AI and Earth-2 platforms to simulate current and weather patterns. By analyzing satellite data, the company provides insights to optimize marine paths, reducing fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Amphitrite supports innovative startups as part of the NVIDIA Inception program.
Wildlife protection through AI
Headquartered in Munich, Germany, ORORATECH uses NVIDIA CUDA and Jetson Technologies to monitor wildlife poaching and forest fires. Using satellite images and AI, Ororatech contributes to environmental protection efforts by providing services to detect and monitor forest fires.
Advanced weather forecast
NVIDIA’s Corrdiff, a reproductive AI weather model, enables more accurate weather forecasts. This technology, a part of the NVIDIA Earth-2 platform, provides a kilometer forecast for weather conditions, supporting disaster plans and easing. NVIDIA Research also introduced STORMCAST, a model designed for large weather predictions.
Space threat detection
In space exploration, NVIDIA’s technology plays an important role in detecting asteroids. Published research nature We emphasized how to discover 10 meters asteroids in the main asteroid belts using NVIDIA’s computing power. This process is promoted by NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope, showing the role of NVIDIA in space studies.
Enhancement of energy efficiency
NVIDIA’s BLACKWELL platform, featuring a liquid cooling system, provides significant energy efficiency. Based on this platform, the GB200 NVL72 system provides higher profit potential and throughput compared to existing systems, while reducing energy and water consumption.
