The Real World Crypto 2025 Conference in Bulgarian Sophia has introduced encryption development, including Snarks, Digital Identity and Digital Euro Project.
Real World Crypto (RWC) 2025 sessions in Sophia, Bulgaria, gathered encryption experts to discuss cutting -edge development in the field. According to the A16Z Crypto, the event, which was held from March 26 to 28, 2025, features a series of dialogue and workshops focusing on various aspects of encryption technologies, including zero knowledge evidence, digital identity system and potential implementation of digital euros.
Zero knowledge proof and identity system
Much of the meeting was dedicated to exploring the application of Zero Knowledge (ZKP), especially in the identity system. Anja Lehmann of POTSDAM University discussed the EUDI (EUDI) project, which aims to improve personal information through selective disclosure of identity information. Meanwhile, Abhi Shelat of North Eastern University presented a protocol of zero knowledge of signature credentials that use Ligero proof to optimize communication overhead.
Security problem of ZK proof system
The security vulnerability of the zero knowledge proof system was a notable topic at the meeting. Open Zeppelin’s oana ciobotaru emphasized the need for a safe Fiat-Shamir Challenge by emphasizing the critical attack of “last challenge attack” in the Ethereum ecosystem. GRAZ University’s Shibam Mukherjee showed a cache timing -based side channel attack on the ZK proof library and pointed out the need for continuous implementation to alleviate these vulnerabilities.
Financial digital flow path and encryption application
The meeting also dealt with the intersection of encryption and traditional financial systems. Silvio Petriconi of Bocconi University has published the results of a committee to explore the validity of the digital euro. This study cited better expansion and personal information compared to account -based models, showing potential advantages by using UTXO -based chains in CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency).
Web3 and encryption innovation
Web3 development was also prominent at this event. The presentation included discussions on the compression of the ZKLOGIN of Mysten Labs and the encryption of the Yael Kalai of the MYSTEN LABS for personal information protection certification for the SUI block chain. This conversation emphasized that the impact of Web3 research on wider encryption environments is increasing.
Real World Crypto 2025 Conference has increased the relevance of various sectors from dynamic characteristics of encryption research and digital identity to financial system and beyond it. As encryption continues to develop, the impact on legacy systems and emerging technologies will expand to promote innovation and solve complex security issues.
