Ether Lee’s recent PECTRA upgrade is redefining how the user interacts with the network as the use of smart accounts increases.
According to the data in which the basic analyst’s 0xkofi of Bundle Bear compiled, over 26,000 wallets have been switched from the PECTRA upgrade to a new smart account that runs from EIP-7702.
What is a smart account?
EIP-7702 is a new standard that allows regular Etherum wallets to work like a smart contract without losing their address or flexibility.
Traditionally, Ether Leeum wallet has fallen into two categories of an external owner account (EOAS), which can be sent to transactions, but lack of programming, but can automate work but cannot start a transaction.
The EIP-7702 mixes two things by allowing the EOA to delegate the control of the smart contract. This unlocks a wide range of features, including automatic expenditures, reservation payment and multi -level measures.
More importantly, this update allows Ethereum users to pay a fee by paying tokens other than ETH to add a convenient layer.
Ether Leeum EOA users can approve smart contracts that manage wallet activities to activate these innovative functions. This contract acts as a logical class of transactions.
On the other hand, those who want to return to the basic wallet can remove the functions that can be programmed by referring to their address as a video contract.
EIP-7702 see quick absorption
According to the data of the default analyst 0xkofi, the smart account has been traction beyond Etherrium and has been widely adopted in the layer -2 network such as basic and optimism.
Prestime Currently, 13,013 smart accounts exist in Ethereum Mainnet. The Layer-2 solution optimism of the blockchain network leads to 5,588, Binance Smart Chain 5,261, and the coin base support base is 2,851, 229.
This account has triggered almost 124,000 approval since the upgrade. BSC leads 69 active contracts and follows Etherrium at 66. Basic, optimism and GNOSO records 37, 9 and 6 contracts.
The data shows that Exchange and wallet providers are accepting changes.
According to the leader board, there are 5,188 WhiteBit after the number of 6,922 smart account approval. The OKX wallet occupies 3,452, but the unidentified source consists of another 3,988 account.
