The new alliance, a key highlight of a series of academic initiatives, will provide universities with cutting-edge blockchain education and support further innovation in the technology.
Sui, a layer 1 platform for decentralized computing that has grown at a tremendous pace since its founding nine months ago, announced that it has partnered with the American University of Sharjah (AUS) to establish a new blockchain academy in Sharjah, the AUS-Sui Blockchain Academy. It is one of the best-known academic institutions in the region, creating opportunities for hundreds of aspiring developers to learn and ultimately advance the latest technologies.

This initiative is part of the Emirate of Sharjah’s goal to establish itself as a regional hub for education and research, particularly in the fields of technology and blockchain.
“The establishment of the AUS-Sui Blockchain Academy will provide students with valuable insights into modern and forward-thinking topics,” said Dr. Tod Laursen, President of the American University of Sharjah. “This will allow students to engage with trending topics and essential future skills, equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in tomorrow’s evolving environment.”
