This year we are also introducing a new support tier called Scholarship and Grant Supporters. There is a lot of work to be done in this new industry to realize the potential of the technology, and part of our support must be to help bring new talent into the sector, as well as funding existing teams where there is a real need. To that end, we’re working hard on academic support programs for our students to become skilled developers after they leave the classroom. The Ethereum Foundation’s grants program has significantly increased its support for growing teams this year, now awarding more than $20 million in grants in 2018 alone.
