APhone, the world’s first decentralized cloud smartphone, has partnered with Aethir, a decentralized GPU cloud computing network, to strengthen Aethir’s infrastructure and democratize access to cloud services while enhancing decentralization and security.
This announcement marks an important milestone in the evolution of distributed technology, as APhone’s innovative mobile devices expand the reach of Aethir’s distributed cloud infrastructure, enabling a wider range of users to participate in the network.
As part of the collaboration, APhone users can earn significant rewards through the upcoming Aethir Cloud Drop and be eligible to share Aethir’s native token $ATH. In return, APhone will distribute 20,000 access passes to existing Aethir node operators to facilitate access to DePin-enabled smartphones. This symbiotic exchange amplifies the strength and scalability of Aethir’s decentralized network while lowering the barrier to entry for the next generation of mobile internet services.
William Paul Peckham, APhone’s Chief Business Officer, commented: “Decentralization is the future of mobile infrastructure, and Aethir perfectly complements our mission to bring Web3 to the world.”
Peckham emphasized the pivotal role of community expansion in strengthening both ecosystems, emphasizing the potential of collaborative efforts to drive Web3 adoption and strengthen distributed cloud infrastructure.
Aethir’s disruptive approach addresses long-standing problems inherent in traditional cloud services, providing solutions to challenges such as prohibitive costs and limited scalability.
Aethir leverages a global network of distributed nodes to provide enterprises with a high-performance, infinitely scalable cloud infrastructure for demanding applications such as gaming and AI. The decentralized cloud model offers many benefits, including improved standardization, enhanced security, censorship resistance, and native payment support.
Daniel Wang, CEO of Aethir, welcomed APhone’s innovative contribution to decentralized services, highlighting the device-agnostic nature of accessing these services.
“APhone is revolutionary because it shows that your device is not a barrier to accessing decentralized services and that every smartphone can actively contribute to strengthening the ecosystem,” Wang said.
He envisions a future where APhone users drive the proliferation of mobile DePIN node ecosystems, highlighting the innovative potential of decentralized mobile infrastructure.
Aethir’s collaboration with APhone follows the highly successful Node Sale earlier this year, in which Aethir raised an impressive $60 million in just 30 minutes. The remarkable success of the $120 million sale highlights Aethir’s independence from institutional capital and reaffirms its firm commitment to the principles of decentralization.
