Multichain-centric protocol dWallet announced its launch on layer 1 blockchains to improve user experience in DeFi and web3 gaming.
The expansion of dWallet’s technology stack to Aptos primarily aims to improve native multi-chain interoperability within the Aptos ecosystem by introducing Zero Trust Protocol (ZTP) to the decentralized L1 network.
Omer Sadika, co-founder of dWallet Network, emphasized that the partnership with Aptos will allow users to perform native Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) transactions on the chain without any bridging or token wrapping requirements.
“This broadens the horizons of definitions and gaming,” Sadika wrote, calling it a big step toward realizing a multi-chain future.
dWallet Network’s crypto 2PC-MPC model encourages on-chain participation from both end users and multiple validators, bringing more individuals and clients into the DeFi scene.
Aptos researcher Professor Benny Pinkas touted the collaboration as a progressive move for L1 networks, saying, “We are excited to enable developers in the Aptos ecosystem to develop ZTP that works seamlessly across all Web3s in a cryptographically secure manner.”
Aptos, released in October 2022, is a monolithic L1 that is not compatible with the Ethereum virtual machine. The platform offers fast, cheap transactions and reduced energy requirements due to its proof-of-stake consensus mechanism.
