The ASTAR Network implements the CCIP and ERC-7802 standards of Chainlink to improve interoperability, enabling the smooth cross chain of AST, which is the default token, across multiple blockchains.
Asstar Network is a part of Astar Evolution Initiative, which greatly develops blockchain interoperability by deploying a new smart contract for AST, the default token of AST. The contract uses Chainlink’s CCIP (Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol) and ERC-7802 standards to display the modification step of Astar’s ecosystem.
New era of interoperability
Incorporating AST into Layer 2 Blockchain Soneium through collaboration between Sony and STARTALE LABS is a pivotal stage of ASTAR’s mission to create a connected Web3 ecosystem. This effort is part of Astar Evolution Phase 1.5, which focuses on improving the interoperability of the blockchain.
The CCIP of Chainlink is facilitating safe crosschain interoperability so that AST can smoothly switch between ASTAR and SONEIUM, making it part of a wider Ethereum ecosystem. Integration not only improves fluidity flow, but also unlocks the potential of crosschain applications.
ERC-7802 and SuperChain initiative
AST’s new smart contract enables the ERC-7802 standard to allow standardized crosschain transmission through functions such as CrosschainMint and Crosschainburn. This standardization is important for ensuring compatibility with existing ERC-20 functions and facilitating smooth token movement by crossing the chain.
The adoption of the ERC-7802 aims to create a network that is integrated into multiple OP stack chains without carving it with a super chain initiative. With this approach, AST can be a core asset in the expansion of the super chain ecosystem.
Technology implementation and security
Astar Engineering Team designed Sonium’s AST smart contract to integrate chainlink’s infrastructure and ensure safe cross chain operation. The contract uses Openzeppelin’s UUPS proxy patterns for upgrade and safely manages mining and combustion permissions using role -based access control.
The extensive test and audit process performed by Cyfrin confirmed the security of the contract and provided confidence in the placement of various chains. The open source characteristics of this project encourage developers to explore and contribute to continuous evolution.
Astar’s Cross Chain Future
The ASTAR Network adopts the ChainLink CCIP and ERC-7802 to set the steps of AST, a token, to operate in various blockchain environments. This integration refers to the transition from an independent blockchain to an interconnected ecosystem and improves the usefulness and reach of AST.
Developers and ecosystem partners are invited to participate in this crosschain trip to build innovative applications throughout the super chain by utilizing AST’s improved interoperability. Astar Portal facilitates smooth AST transmission, guaranteeing user -friendly experiences as the super chain matures.
