Barcelona aims to transform the city into a digital hub with a sustainable and efficient infrastructure by opening a new data center that hosts the COREWEAVE’s AI platform.
Barcelona’s new AI infrastructure

Sustainable digital infrastructure
Merlin Properties and Edged Energy, which formed Merlin Edged in 2020, are at the forefront of sustainable digital infrastructure. Their data center boasts zero water consumption and high efficiency with 1.15 power use efficiency (PUE), which is significantly lower than the European and global average. The center uses entirely renewable energy and coincides with the promise of sustainability of COREWEAVE.
