Binance is launching the Binance Inscription Marketplace on the Bitcoin blockchain, allowing users to buy, sell, and mint Inscription tokens. This is achieved by leveraging the self-custodial Binance Web3 wallet in the Binance application.

This announcement comes eight months after Binance announced its intention to launch a Bitcoin-focused NFT marketplace. The organization recently expanded its ecosystem, incorporating Ethereum- and Polygon-centric NFTs.

According to Binance’s Chief Technology Officer Rohit Wad, the organization is enthusiastic about the enthusiastic response from the global cryptocurrency community to the Binance Inscriptions marketplace. Their goal is to foster innovation by building partnerships with industry leaders and introducing cutting-edge technologies that benefit all users.

Binance also announced a partnership with Ordinals project UniSat, which will provide users with connectivity through UniSat’s liquidity and launch of over 60,000 BRC-20 tokens.

In addition to EVM tokens, individuals are granted the ability to buy, sell and mint BRC-20 tokens, and Binance Exchange platform. Users are also given the ability to utilize BTC transaction accelerators to complete transactions at a faster rate.

According to Lorenzo, Director of UniSat, the ability to support Binance in unwritten markets represents a huge opportunity. This will contribute to the advancement of the industry and inspire additional developers and cryptocurrency enthusiasts to investigate non-crypto assets.

Ordinal Bitcoin Inscriptions have been considered one of the most coveted cryptocurrency objects over the past year. Similar inscriptions to non-fungible tokens (NFTs) allow users to create digital artifacts on the blockchain. The BRC-20 token, created using the Bitcoin blockchain’s Ordinal protocol, has garnered significant interest.

Recently, Ordinals’ inscription count surpassed $1.9 billion. There are currently approximately 370,000 individuals registered on the marketplace, recording approximately 1.8 million transactions. Over the past three months, the OKX Bitcoin NFT marketplace has maintained its position as the leading marketplace in terms of sales.
