In a recent announcement, Binance announced that it has introduced a fee-free SEPA bank transfer option that allows users to deposit EUR and receive EURI, the EURO stablecoin. According to Binance, the new feature will be available from September 5, 2024, to October 5, 2024.
Introduction to Eurite(EURI)
Eurite (EURI) is one of the pioneer EURO stablecoins regulated under the Cryptocurrency Market Regulation (MiCA) within the European Economic Area (EEA). Issued by Banking Circle SA, EURI strengthens Banking Circle’s existing payment system. By complying with MiCA, EURI adheres to strict EU standards, strengthening trust and credibility among holders.
MiCA compliance is essential as it ensures consumer protection, transparency and financial stability. This reduces legal risks and creates a safer environment for users.
Binance’s strategic move
Binance would like to celebrate the listing of EURI, which began trading on August 28, 2024, by launching a fee-free SEPA bank transfer option. This move is expected to attract more users by providing a cost-effective way to acquire EURI, and improve the overall trading experience on the platform.
What it means for the cryptocurrency market
This initiative by Binance is likely to have a significant impact on the stablecoin market, especially in Europe. The fee-free structure could encourage more users to adopt EURI, increasing its circulation and usability. Furthermore, regulatory compliance with MiCA could further increase security and stability, attracting institutional investors.
