Binance, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, announced plans to delist several USDⓈ-M perpetual contracts, focusing specifically on MAVIAUSDT, OMGUSDT, and BONDUSDT. According to Binance’s official announcement, the delisting process is scheduled for 09:00 (UTC) on December 16, 2024.
Details of delisting
As part of the delisting process, Binance Futures will close all existing positions and perform automatic settlement of designated contracts. The exchange advised users to close all open positions before the delisting time to avoid automatic settlement. Additionally, from 08:30 (UTC) on the same day, users will not be able to open new positions for that contract.
Protective measures and user instructions
Binance explained that in the event of highly volatile market conditions, additional protection measures may be implemented without further notice. These actions may include adjusting leverage, position value, maintenance margin and funding rates, as well as updating the market price using price index updates and final price protection mechanisms. We encourage users to stay informed of these potential changes to mitigate risk.
Impact on arbitrage strategies
Binance Funding Rate Arbitrage Bot will terminate all arbitrage strategies involving the MAVIAUSDT, OMGUSDT, and BONDUSDT symbols at the time of delisting. As a result, this pair can no longer be used to launch new arbitrage strategies following delisting.
