Superchief Gallery will open what is acclaimed the world’s first gallery showcasing Bitcoin Ordinals artwork, the company announced Wednesday.

The new San Francisco-based gallery has teamed up with the Ordinals-focused Cypherpunk Lab collective (along with neurotech startup Nuro Realm and software company Deezy Labs) to open Superchief Gallery San Francisco.

The San Francisco gallery aims to be a permanent fixture, continually offering new exhibitions and highlighting artists of interest to the Ordinals space.

Grand opening celebrations begin on Friday, February 16th. Bitcoin MagazineA special issue of Ordinals on Epitaphs featuring a live “Hell Money” podcast recording. The podcast is co-hosted by Casey Rodarmor, founder of the Ordinals protocol.

The following day, Saturday February 17th, will be the gallery’s premier art showcase co-curated by Nuro Realm’s Superchief and pseudonymous artist Nuro. The show features work from a diverse group of artists including Faith Love, Killer Acid, NeuroColor, Rax, Eloc, Bop, Nullish, Rocktoshi, Rare Scrilla, Nardo, v6 Collective, Mike Irak, and Aaron Huey.

Superchief’s venture partners are all focused on the fast-growing Ordinals space. Nuro Realm uses Bitcoin ordinals to create generative neural art and uses neurofeedback to deliver immersive experiences in augmented and virtual reality as well as in-person settings.

Deezy Labs has also developed software to help users discover and earn unique satoshis (also known as the smallest unit of Bitcoin), contributing to popular Ordinals collections such as Bitcoin Frogs.

Founded by Edward Zipco and Bill Dunleavy in Brooklyn, New York in 2012, Superchief Gallery has expanded its presence globally with venues in notable locations including New York City, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and currently the Oculus at the World Trade Center in San Francisco. .

In 2021, Superchief launches the first physical NFT gallery, partners with Christie’s for the first CryptoPunks Auction, organizes the first NFT showcase for the United Nations, and exhibits for top industry marketplaces such as OpenSea, MakersPlace, and Foundation. made headlines by curating . .
