Today, Bitmain, one of the largest Bitcoin mining equipment manufacturers, announced the launch of the Antminer S21 Pro at the Global Digital Mining Summit (WDMS) 2024, an event hosted by the company.

An improvement on the most efficient mining rig, the S21, the new device is much more efficient and powerful than its predecessor.
Irene Gao, Vice President of Mining at Bitmain, highlighted in the announcement that Antminer S21 Pro has a hash rate of 234 TH/s and an energy efficiency rate of 15.0 J/TH. In comparison, Antminer S21’s hash rate is 200TH/s and power consumption efficiency is 17.5J/TH.
Gao also emphasized the durability of the S21 Pro.
“It has the ability to cope with more challenging environments,” she said, before sharing that the device can withstand temperatures up to 45 degrees Celsius (113 degrees Fahrenheit).
The coupon US dollar to terahash exchange rate for the device is $18.9/TH, and Bitmain plans to begin shipping the device in the third quarter of 2024.
This announcement comes just seven months after Bitmain launched S21.
The S21 has been quickly adopted by Bitcoin miners as it is already sold out through the company’s website.
“We truly believe that this new product will help us make long-term plans for mining expansion, especially before new cycles,” Gao added.
