The BNB chain shows Bitcoin Pizza Day, which focuses on BTCFI, emphasizing Bitcoin’s distributed finance applications on the platform. Celebrations include community -based flush design contests.
Bitcoin Pizza Day is commemorated on May 22 every year and commemorates the first actual Bitcoin (BTC) transaction produced by Laszlo HanyECZ in 2010 when 10,000 BTC was exchanged with two pizzas in 2010. This transaction has since been a symbol of Bitcoin’s journey as a digital asset recognized worldwide in niche experiments.
BNB Chain’s BTCFI focus
This year, the BNB chain is celebrating the day that focuses on the evolutionary ecosystem of the Defi protocol distributed on the platform. This protocol allows Bitcoin holders to use assets for loans, transactions, yields and staying promoted by the expandable infrastructure of the BNB chain.
The BTCFI ecosystem aims to expand Bitcoin’s utility beyond simple transactions, and provides innovative financial services to users while maintaining the known security and dispersion of Bitcoin.
Community -oriented initiative
To participate in the community, BNB Chain held a competition to design the limited edition BNB Pizza Plushie. After receiving a lot of votes, the community chose design #2 as the winner. This sewing person is distributed to major opinion leaders, partners and active community members, and additional sewing is a great help to participating voters.
In addition to Plushie Contest, BNB Chain recommends community members to explore the BTCFI application. This includes participating in the BNB chain in the BTC, participating in the loan market, earning a return from BTC Holdings and trading a BTC pair of the Distributed Exchange (DEX) built on the BNB chain.
