The minimum stake in the community is 1 LINK.
Staking plays an important role as a core initiative in the economic structure and security of the Chainlink network. Through staking, network participants, such as node operators, help maintain the security of oracle services by locking their LINKs to support the ecosystem. In return, stakers receive rewards.
According to details in today’s press release, the community’s staking limit is a minimum of 1 LINK and a maximum of 15,000 LINK. Meanwhile, node operators will have the opportunity to stake a minimum of 1,000 LINK and a maximum of 75,000 LINK.
As long as the pool is open, anyone can stake up to that limit amount.
Of the 45 million LINKs, a pool size share of 40,875,000 LINKs has been allocated to community members. The remaining 4,125,000 LINKs will be released to node operators currently serving Chainlink data feeds.
