According to Chiliz (CHZ), Italy and Argentina, champions of Europe and South America respectively, have announced the launch of a series of exclusive digital collectibles titled ‘The Fabric of Champions’.
FAN ENGAGEMENT THROUGH DIGITAL COLLECTIBLES
As both teams prepare to defend their titles in Germany and the United States, Socios.com, the Fan Token partner of the Italian and Argentine Football Federations, aims to bring fans closer to the action. The new initiative will allow fans to feel more involved during this historic period by giving them the opportunity to own digital memorabilia rooted in the team’s rich history.
Champion Structure The series includes four categories of digital collectibles, each reflecting a different aspect of the team’s legacy and requiring varying numbers of Fan Tokens to unlock.
- Classic — Now: This collectible is inspired by the kit the team will use in the upcoming championship. Each team’s supply is limited to 2,000, and you’ll need 5 Fan Tokens to claim them.
- Bronze — Future: It envisions the next evolution of the team’s home kit, reimagined with: A.I. Limited to 1,000 per team and requires 10 Fan Tokens.
- Silver — Past: Inspired by the winning kits from recent competitions, these kits are limited to 750 per team and require 15 Fan Tokens.
- Gold — Legendary: Based on iconic kits from the historic event, this collectible is the rarest of the lot, with only 300 per team available and requiring 50 Fan Tokens.
Fan Token Lockup for Rewards
Fan Token holders can lock their tokens until July 15th, with the lockup period ending on August 15th. Users can choose between two locker room options on Socios.com:
- Locked locker: Users will automatically receive digital collectibles, but will not be able to unlock Fan Tokens until the lock-in period ends.
- Flexible Lockers: If users do not unlock their Fan Tokens during the campaign period, they will receive the digital collectibles at the end of the lock-in period.
Locking Fan Tokens gives them a non-tradable status, preventing their sale until the end of the period. However, tokens can still be used to engage with the team and earn reward points through a variety of fan engagement features on Socios.com.
Connecting digital and physical fan engagement

Camilleri added that fans will be able to earn rewards for their participation, increasing the excitement of this summer’s championships.
Launched in September 2023, the Locker Room feature quickly became popular on Socios.com, with over 40,000 digital collectibles claimed to date.
