CTV prototypes contribute to char network
In S/ED: ZBD
Prior to Bitcoin, STU spent a day with Windows system administrators and IT support. His daily life consists of a long boring day sitting in a chair that participates in monotonous maintenance work, reconstructs the system, and resets a password for users who have forgotten.
In fact, there is a rare problem that needs to be careful in a meaningful way, so it is rare because it is rare that it will happen for most time.
STU spent most of the day. However, this turned out that it was not a bad scenario eventually because the STU finally attracted the Bitcoin space around 2017.
Like many Bitcoin or Bitcoin, the STU was in the early coin products (ICO) and Altcoin craze. Also, like many Bitcoins at that time, he was burned with a bad investment in a random unknown project that should not be invested at first.
Inevitably, Bitcoin’s gravity pulled him into a proverb rabbit hole.
After a few years about Bitcoin, the STU stopped at the top of the 2021 Bull Market to find a chance to work in Bitcoin space at the top of 2021 Bull Market. Until then, the programming language RUST was widely used in other Bitcoin projects and libraries, so the stu began to learn to contribute to Bitcoin.
At the end of 2022, his search for jobs in space was over when Michael Tildwell was hired to work in ZBD, a company that integrates Bitcoin payments using Lightning Network.
I work in ZBD
STU worked on ZBD, but continued to work in the prototype Rust project in free time.
STU told Bitcoin Magazine, “Most side effects are related to what’s interesting at the time, starting with a game where you can use Bitcoin while working in ZBD.
First of all, he became more accustomed to building a multiplayer web game, Rain.run, based on a player who collects lightning bolts for rewards in Satos. He then built a simple connect4 game played through the NOSTR protocol.
STU said, “This was a good way to learn how to operate NOSTR.
“I attended BTC ++ in Austin in 2024, which was a script edition.” Four Day Conference was the most dense forum for the Bitcoin Script Improvement and Contracts last year.
STU recalled:
“This has been interested in how Bitcoin scripts work (helped to test taproot and bitcoin scripts,” he added.
“I didn’t actually end much, but it was a good way to learn how the script works.”
TabConf, Payment Pool and CTV
In 2024, STU attended TabConf, another developer -centered meeting held every year in Atlanta, Georgia. Conversation in Atlanta also rotated greatly around the covenant.
Like all developer -centered meetings, TabConf wore hacker tones. The STU was selected to build a project using DLC (DISCREET LOG CONTRACTS), allowing users to bet on chess results. It has become very clear that building software that signs many transactions has introduced a lot of complexity to developers.
He said: “The answer to this problem seemed to be Checktemplaplaide (CTV), which seemed to be a good place to start CTV because I wanted to learn more about the covenant.
STU continued to use CTV to build a concept certificate of payment pool. Payment pool is a very basic layer 2 system with two shared control groups for a single incomplete bitcoin output.
“One way to expand the bitcoin that everyone can use without using a centralized third party is that the user shares UTXO.” Payment pool is especially a good way to do this with other tier 2 solutions such as Lightning or ARK. ”
Covenant
The covenant was a matter of controversy in the discussion of where to go to Bitcoin. All developers have personal opinions on them, and STUs are no exception.
“I think that replacing only a pre -signed deal using a contract is an amazing improvement that developers can build faster and more safely.” “This removes a lot of interactions and friction from the user, so there is little need to be online or adjusted with other parties, which can greatly improve the user experience.”
I asked him to build concept proof and prototypes using CTVs, unlike other covenant proposals.
“I was dragged to CTV because I reached CTV. It was very simple to implement it in the application to make. After building a payment pool with CTV, I planned to do the same work on all covenant proposals, but it took a long time to add more code, but it took a long time to add more code.
“I am convinced that there is an agreement among protocol developers that there is no risk of Bitcoin.” “… Therefore, the user seems to be not wanted by the user, but since the user uses applications and protocols such as lightning and multi -seat supply improved by CTV, I think it should be the priority of the next softfork.”
When he asked how the current debate and the atmosphere of the debate on the contract and Daum Soft fork could be improved, he said:
“Someone must bring a Saylor to tweet the sandwich emoticon. Everything would be good.”
“But seriously, I really don’t know. Perhaps more people will help people face face. It doesn’t seem like many technical reasons we do not progress.”
“I think that a part of the hesitation is making a change in Bitcoin at all.The change is too difficult for Bitcoin’s amazing attribute, but it is not necessary to expand to Soft forks, which causes a lot of stress to certain Bitcoin developers, especially Bitcoin core administrators, and all people wait for their opinions in the next fork. It is the same. ”
future
The STU recently participated in the BITCOIN ECOSYSTEM’s BOS (Bitcoin Open SOCTLE SOCTLE SOCTLE SOCTLE SOCTLE SOCTLE SOCTLE SOCTLE SOCTLE SOCTLE SOCTLE SOCTLE SOCTLE SOCTLE SOCTLE SOCTLE SOCTLE SOCTLE SOCTLE SOCTLE), a program designed to help new developers cut their teeth and develop deeper understanding and experience about Bitcoin.
In the future, STU will contribute to the char network that resolves the radar efforts to build a new Bitcoin Staying platform led by Jeremy Rubin, a developer who designed and proposed CTVs. He plans to continue his personal side project and contribute to open source projects with his final goal that he has begun to contribute to the core of Bitcoin itself.
STU talked about Bitcoin’s priority in the future.
“Our biggest focus should be to make self -custody better. I am annoyed right now. I usually think that more Bitcoin should be recognized. It is simple to support 12 words, but it is not really easy and no one does it.”
