Blockchain platform Cronos (CRO) announced the launch of a new zkEVM Bridge campaign, which gives users the opportunity to earn points by linking Ethereum and Cronos EVM’s CRO tokens. According to the official announcement, the initiative is part of the Cronos zkEVM Pioneer Program, which aims to encourage participation and reward early adopters.
zkEVM Journey
The Cronos zkEVM project and its associated decentralized applications (dApps) have launched the Cronos zkEVM Passage campaign, the final step before the mainnet launch, allowing users to connect their assets to Cronos zkEVM and earn loyalty points as a reward. Veno Finance facilitates this connection service.
Users who bring in CRO from Ethereum or lock or stake CRO/LCRO in Cronos EVM can participate in the Cronos zkEVM Pioneer Program by accumulating points through the Cronos zkEVM Bridge. These points can also be claimed for additional rewards in participating dApps.
Campaign Details

Eligible Tokens: CRO (on Ethereum/Kronos EVM) and LCRO (on Kronos EVM).
To participate, users must visit the Cronos zkEVM Bridge page to lock or stake their assets. CRO/LCRO tokens will be converted to zkCRO and locked in a multi-signature contract until the mainnet launch, which is expected in Q3 2024. After the launch, zkCRO will be available on the Cronos zkEVM network.
Early entrants will enjoy several benefits, including:
- Get zkCRO for use on mainnet.
- Collect early support points in the Cronos zkEVM Pioneer Program.
- Earn staking rewards for CRO. Early adopters will receive more zkCRO.
Eligibility
Anyone holding CRO on the Ethereum mainnet or Cronos EVM can participate in the campaign. Those holding CRO on exchanges can withdraw to the Ethereum mainnet (ERC20) to participate. The campaign encourages users to spread the word and invite their friends to join the journey.
Point accumulation
A few weeks after the campaign launches, the Cronos zkEVM Pioneer Program webpage will be launched, where users can connect their wallets and monitor their accumulated points.
