According to official sources, Cronos (CRO) Labs has announced a series of important updates and initiatives for the zkEVM project. The goal of the update is to improve user experience and drive community engagement within the #CROFam ecosystem.
Latest testnet upgrades and community participation
The Cronos zkEVM project has marked an important milestone in its development by launching the Tethys testnet. The new testnet integrates zkSync’s technology to enable secure and efficient cross-chain interaction with the Ethereum Mainnet. Users can participate in testnet quests through Galxe until June 30th, with more community activity expected in the coming weeks. This includes the “Cronos zkEVM Pioneer Program” which includes loyalty points, pre-mainnet CRO deposits, and mainnet quests.
New initiatives and collaborations
Several projects within the Cronos ecosystem have announced new initiatives. Veno Finance has introduced a sweepstakes to celebrate the launch of Liquid TIA Stake, offering a $500 $VNO reward pool to participants who stake at least $10 worth of TIA. Ebisu’s Bay has airdropped 600,000 $FRTN tokens to early adopters and has launched a raffle for over 40 rare NFTs.
Wolfswap has concluded Season 4 of its rewards campaign, reporting an average daily trader of 420 and a total volume of $22 million. Season 5 is scheduled to begin on June 24. Earn Network has also announced the expansion of its product offering on the Cronos EVM blockchain.
NFT and DeFi campaigns
Minted Network collaborated with Earn Network to launch the Golden Tree of Fortune collection. LILLIUS introduced the LILLI NFT, which offers exclusive access and points redeemable for $LLT token rewards. CroSkull NFT launched Season 8 of Adventures by staking Croskull.
New America NFT is gearing up for early playtesting of its Web3 game HyperCity in July. The Mad Meerkat NFT will launch a new mini-game, Jumpy Meerkat, next month and feature periodic challenges for prizes. Cr00ts will be releasing version 3.0 of the game, featuring new playstyles, animations, and characters from partner projects.
Additional updates
Corgi Studio has improved Launchpad in Cronos’ Creator Lounge, adding features like OnlyMeID and adjustable mint schedules. FuryBrawl is integrating new AI and 3D characters into its Web3 games on Cronos EVM. LOAF has announced several initiatives, including the launch of Galxe Giveaway and ToastOff games.
Crow with knife ($CAW) teamed up with Wolfswap to send half of the transaction fees to the community treasury. Misteryoncro ($MERY) launches an education blog and announces support from KyberNetwork. Fortune Favors The Bozos now allows users to purchase NFTs from over 30 collections using tokens.
Strategic Partnerships and Programs
Cronos EVM has added Exaion, a subsidiary of Europe’s largest electricity group EDF, as its latest blockchain network validator. The Cronos Accelerator program also highlighted demo day presentations from its latest cohort, providing valuable insights to users and startup founders.
