Crypto.com exchange is proud to be an industry leader in compliance and security and is committed to supporting cryptocurrency adoption through innovation. The exchange recently achieved a significant milestone of reaching over 100 million users globally. According to Crypto.com, this is due to a variety of strategies, including specific campaigns such as “Inevitable” and “Fortune Favors the Brave.” The user milestones are also thanks to high-profile partnerships with sports leagues such as the National Hockey League (NHL) and National Basketball Association (NBA). Crypto.com also sponsored the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix in May 2022.
Crypto.com expansion plans
The exchange already has plans to reach the next 100 million users. Crypto.com’s Melbourne APAC head Karl Mohan suggested new products for specific markets to attract more users in those jurisdictions. For example, while talking about the Australian market, Mohan noted that the country’s cryptocurrency industry has been “pivotal” to the company’s success. He added that Crypto.com plans to expand its presence by providing “best-in-class products to an increasingly mature investor base.”
Last month, Crypto.com secured a full operating license from the Dubai Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (VARA). This license is a major achievement for Crypto.com as it is the first exchange allowed by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to operate with fiat currency.
VARA’s license now enables it to offer a range of products to individual and institutional investors in Dubai, supporting the company’s goal of attracting 100 million customers in the coming years. In November 2023, Crypto.com met pre-operational requirements after meeting VARA’s four-step process, which includes provisional authorization and readiness licenses for Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), commencing in 2022.
