As cryptocurrencies become an increasingly prominent issue in this year’s presidential election, a new poll released by investment firm Paradigm shows that 18% of Democrats have purchased cryptocurrency, a number that is likely to increase next year.
Nine percent of Democrats said they were “very likely” to invest in cryptocurrencies in the next year, while 18 percent said they were “somewhat likely” to invest. However, 54 percent of Democrats said they were “not at all” likely to invest in cryptocurrencies. vote.
Only 8% of those surveyed said they own more than $1,000 worth of cryptocurrency, while only 5% said they own more than $10,000.

Paradigm said it “also conducted 100 additional interviews with Black, Hispanic, and AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander) Democrats to better understand how non-white Democrats view cryptocurrencies.”
Cryptocurrencies have solidified their place in the upcoming election season, with millions of dollars pouring into super political action committees and presidential candidate Trump telling voters he will end the “illegal and un-American crackdown” on the U.S. cryptocurrency industry. Of those surveyed, 13% were undecided about whether to vote for Harris. According to the poll, 18% of voters said they had purchased cryptocurrency, and 21% said the Biden administration was “too hostile” or “much too hostile” to the industry.
Paradigm also found that cryptocurrencies are most popular among Democratic voters of color. The poll found that 18% of all Democrats have invested in crypto, compared to 22% of Black Democrats, 25% of Hispanic Democrats, and 27% of AAPI Democrats.
